Bodywork

Inspired by traditional thai massage, zen shiatsu , Ayurvedic massage and osteopahy techniques -  bodywork sessions blend compression techniques and dynamic stretches with gentle rocking, traction, waving, harmonic movement and joint mobilisations to create movement, fluidity and a feeling of freedom for body and mind.

All bodywork sessions are done fully clothed, on a mattress on the floor.

It is best not to eat for an hour or two before the session, or just something light.

Traditional Thai

Thai massage is part of traditional Thai medicine and is seen as integral to maintenance of a healthy mind, body and spirit.

It combines acupressure techniques - working the sen lines (similar to meridian lines in TCM) ,with assisted stretches which resemble the asanas in yoga - which is why it is sometimes referred to as 'thai yoga massage' or, 'lazy yoga'!

If you would prefer a more traditional thai massage - either Wat Pho or Lana style (developed Southern or Northern Thailand) - please let me know! All sessions are done fully clothed, on a mattress on the floor. Please let me know if you would prefer a table and this can be accommodated.

Massage

Chi Nei Tsang

Chi Nei Tsang is an abdominal massage developed by the White Cloud Taoist monks in China over 3,000 years ago.

Working gently but deeply on the abdomen and the internal organs, Chi Nei Tsang can help the flow of qi (energy) by releasing blockages and stagnation within our digestive system.

It can be an effective treatment for issues such as IBS, constipation and PMS as well as providing a space for energetic healing from unresolved emotions, past trauma and habituated emotional patterns.

It is recommended not to eat for 2-3 hours before the session, or just something very light.

For some people this massage can invoke strong emotions and it is recommended that you are able to have some time to yourself after the session to process and integrate anything which may have come up for you.
